With the vocal range and power
of Freddie Mercury, Black Swan fronts the trimmed down
acoustic version of Nadsat Fashion. Famous for their
bombastic, theatrical and beat driven live shows, the band's
acoustic show focuses on the melodic, blues inspired core of
the band. A must see for fans of the band, and a great
opportunity for new fans who have been keeping away from the
big city's rock clubs. |

Jill Leighton
Jill Leighton,
Scottish singer songwriter, is the latest addition to the
New York City music scene. She is known for creating waves
with her unique form of freestyle vocals and refreshingly
captivating lyrics. Closely aligned to Folk and Blues, her
songs are deep, melodic, sometimes obscure – but at all times
– heartfelt. Her voice has been described as pure,
individual and haunting and captures the listener.Jill draws
her inspirations from the many artists and musicians she
admires, (Ryan Adams, Joni Mitchell) and the wide range of
musical influences coming together has given Jill creation
that she uses to great effect. In her early years, Jill
experimented with various instruments – piano, violin, and
even bagpipes – now her setup for shows is the acoustic
guitar complemented by her harmonica and outstanding vocal
ability. Jill has performed at some of Scotland’s largest
music festivals including the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh
and Celtic Connections in Glasgow. Her charm and magic on
stage is hypnotic and leaves a lasting impression on all
those lucky enough to witness a musical performance by Jill
Leighton. |

Kagero
Japanese Gypsy Rock Band
"Echoes of bossanova, Radiohead, Elvis Costello, everything
sounds like this band should be performing in a Paris café
to a room full of expatriates. -Ben
Kreiger, Jezebel Music
Kagero's gypsy-flavored acoustic rock is knocking New York's
indie scene on its tushy. The sound has been described as a
melting pot of tonalities and rhythms from Asia, the Middle
East and Eastern Europe. Kagero pulls their core rock sound
from David Bowie and Neil Young, and adds the gypsy flavor
of the violin found in the works of Stephane Grappelli. With
a high-energy show that entices even the most jaded hipster
into busting a gleefully bohemian move, Kagero's world music
goulash is very tasty – even if you don't always know what's
you're eating. Just call them your local neighborhood urban-gypsophonic,
border-jumping, international debtor's prison groove-loving
feelgood band next door. |

coming from a town without a single stoplight and surrounded
by cornfields she is no city girl. Influenced by old blues,
country, and soul, Dana fuses everything she loves into each
song. Writing about friends, love, getting pick pocketed and

Acoustic / Folk / Soul
Jay Wright is an East Coast based singer/songwriter
who's sound encompasses a fuse of acoustic folk & organic
soul with soothing vocal melodies over toe-tapping rhythmic
grooves. With his debut release entitled "The Low Down Dirty
Love CD", Jay Wright explores, discovers, and nurtures an
eclectic mesh of musical genres creating a unique footprint
of style & vibe dubbed simply as soulbucket. With hope
inspired lyrics about love lost & found, personal
reflection, & social commentary, Jay Wright’s music proves
intellectually crafted with "stories through song" that
embark on a so-called "journey through his mind". At the
bottom of a bucket, you'll find the depths of a soul. The
music is soulful, the vibe is mellow, and the experience is
quite awesome. So come along for some acoustic urban folk
distilled from 100% organic soul spirit in a 1763 bucket....

Danielle Talamini
Indie / Rock / Americana
Brooklyn-born Danielle Talamini is a country gal at heart,
with a sound inspired by the southern rock-n-soul of John
Fogerty and Tom Petty, and a dose of Outlaw country a la
Willie, Waylon and the boys. The result is "The Road Rises,"
a collection of songs about roads traveled the hard way, not
knowing quite where you'll end up, and the good things in
store just up around the bend |

fronts: recording, production, songwriting and performance.
He is a sophisticated songwriter with an excellent voice

says Fett from Performing Songwriter Magazine. Tom hails

Lizzy Picciallo
Folk Rock
/ Progressive / Alternative
Progressive and innovative songs with jazzy-edgy
vocals that will make you think and move. Lizzy's debut
album 'Drawing Triangles' has won awards for best vocal
performance and showcases her dynamic guitar style. Her
second album 'Lunatic Fringe' is soon to be released and
features more studio production, Lizzy’s first recordings on
the piano and guest musicians from all over the US. Lizzy
has been involved in the world of professional music since
the age of 12 and went on to study classical composition at
Providence College in Rhode Island. There she further
developed her characteristically dynamic and integrative
style of writing. While playing around local venues in
Providence she realized that it was time to search for a
more serious music scene where she could blossom as a
professional singer/songwriter. She found herself in Ithaca
New York where she recorded and released ‘Drawing
Triangles’. Selling out local venues and creating a whole
new queer-oriented folk-rock scene has carried her back into
the studio to finish her second album and kept her on the
road sharing her music nation wide. |

Acoustic / Pop / Indie
The classically-trained pianist Sasha Papernik blends Tango, Jazz, 30s
European Nightclub, and, most surprisingly, Schubert into her new songs for
solo voice and piano. One reviewer noted: "With slower beats
and simpler chords, her inclinations might have taken her into folk, given
her propensity for ballad-like narratives and wistful images. As it is, the
flurry of fingers behind her voice locates the energy somewhere in between
Broadway and a slinky Casablanca evening club..." Currently, she is
producing her first album of original songs and performing at venues in New
York City and the Boston area |

Daniel Goodman
Folk / Folk Rock
After earning a degree in Jazz performance Daniel returned
to his first love, traditional American folk music. His
writing style comes from many diverse sources, including the
earlier ballads of Stephen Foster as well as the traditional
music of the Appalachian region. The revival of folk music
in the 1940's through the 1960's has had a profound effect
on Daniel's music and lyrics, including Woody Guthrie, Pete
Seeger and, of course, Bob Dylan. Daniel's lyrics have also
been strongly influenced by the works of Nick Drake, Jim
Croce,Patti Smith and Jackson C. Frank. The musical legacies
of Blind Willie McTell,Leadbelly,Dock Boggs,Bascom Lamar
Lunsford,Lemon Jefferson as well as the musical dicoveries
of John Jacob Niles have also contributed greatly to the
context of both his music and lyrics |

Dustin Smith
Folk / Country / Soul
Hailing from a musical family in Iowa and growing up on Cat
Stevens, Bob Dylan, and Hank Williams, Smith has never left
any of this behind. He has wrapped them in a patch torn from
the hem of the Midwest and brought the whole sack to lower
Manhattan. The songs from SUMMER AFTERNOON, released in
early 2008, reflect a sweet sense of loss that eschews
bitterness for the pleasures of memory, a nostalgia that
looks at the present and smiles in earnest. As Smith moves
with gentle ease from whimsicality to sadness, his band
spreads a dynamic array of influence and sound that truly
capture the essence of his reality |
